The expression of love

twitter.com/kimkardashian/status/1096130234879889408

Kanye certainly pulled this one off! What an amazing expression of love! Or is it?

I have heard over the years from many therapists and mentors, that love is an action, not an emotion. If I love someone, I show it. But what is the true expression of love? Is it Kenny G playing for you in your front room in a sea of roses, or is it one single rose picked from your neighbors yard, whose pedals have started to wilt and dry up. Is it a princess cut diamond ring from Tiffany’s or is it a knock off from Fred Meyer ( or local department store )? What if I said it’s none of the above..,or all of the above?

The true expression of love is not selfish, not boisterous, not hurtful , not competitive and certainly not all about the giver! How often do we buy gifts for others and think of ourselves in the process? How often do we think “man they are going to love me for this”? Or how often do we plan our gift based off what others will think ? I hate to break it to you, this is one of the weakest displays of love there is. In fact the amount of love in comparison to the other motives involved, is so subtle it hardly even exists. How often do we function on this level without even noticing our condition? The condition of the consumer to out consume thy neighbor, or to out prince charm the next.

The true expression of love is altruistic. It is the act of giving from the depths of the heart without expecting anything in return. Not even the reaction we hope to receive. Love is not selfish in any aspect that it exists. It is only the ego that brings on these interesting, and common expectations.

Happy Valentines Day to all out there. I truly hope that love has been expressed upon you in its truest forms. I hope your day has been tranquil, pampering and enchanting!

Every day is a new day to start again! — February 9, 2019

Every day is a new day to start again!

Spring is just around the corner. The sweet scent of new growth . The beginning of new strength. The courage and ambition it takes for a small seed to burst through dirt, rocks, grass and roots to become a beautiful flower. Once it breaks free to face the sun it has to resist the wind and the rain. Through it all it manages to remain strong and beautiful!

With the launch of our new #nygard spring catalog I began to ponder the season spring. The deeper meanings that hide behind its blanket of beauty. How can I not see the message in the dancing daisies that flow ever so elegantly in the breeze, while being plummeted by other seeds, dust, tiny rocks and the secret invaders only the daisies’ know about. My courage is only a whisper in comparison to the beauty they display, no matter what the wind blows their way.

How can I apply this towards my home business. If I think about everyday as a new day and a new beginning and apply the excitement I had when I first decided to invest in myself , instead of investing all of my time and energy into making other people rich. If I look at each day with a new pair of goggles, then I will surpass any long term or short term goal I have ever set for myself!

The one thing I have learned that I have always kept In mind is, my business is a product of small little momentum’s. My future is a product of what I did a year ago, a month a go, a week a go , a day a go an hour a go and a second a go. The amount of energy I put in will determine what I get out of it.

Everyday I must wake up and slay it! Everyday I must wake up determined to set new goals and strategies to strengthen my future results. Everyday I must start new. Everyday counts! Even the days I didn’t achieve as much as I set out to achieve. Even the days that my party bombs. Even the days that I spent more than I made. Because the only true way for me to fail is to throw in the towel and give up.

Roam wasn’t built in a day. It was built by the actions of brave strong men and women, that put one small stone on top of the other. What it they had stopped after just 30 stones? What if they had given up when it rained? What if they had given up because their backs hurt badly or their fingers wouldn’t stop bleeding? They worked everyday harder than any of us could imagine to build one of the greatest cities known to man ,and it all started with one little stone.

My assignment for you, get out your Iphones and your galaxy’s and start a personal growth calendar. Everyday put one thing you want to accomplish for your business that day. At the end of 30 days I bet you will have a great start to a small empire. You will have a strong start that will launch your business in the direct that will keep it strong through the wind and the rain and leave you standing beautiful in the sun! http://www.aprilsboutique.nygardstyle.com

Do you have the direct sales blues? — February 5, 2019
Do you have the direct sales blues? —

Do you have the direct sales blues?

I can relate!

I have been a member of lots of direct sales companies. I have bought the kit, scheduled the parties, dropped catalogs off at my medical spa and handed them out to my neighbors. I have spent many hours brainstorming about how to come up with new ideas to help my business grow. I was not successful.

This is information about what I have done that works, the things I wish I knew 10 years ago, and the things I know now. I hope together we can take your business to the next level.

First of all, I am not going to discuss companies I have sold for by name. My goal is not to bash any certain company , however I have thought perhaps I wasn’t successful because of their design.

So lets discuss this first. Something you want to avoid ( I know it’s hard especially in smaller communities or close groups of friends ), is the temptation to buy in just because everyone else is selling it. I understand the urge to join, but something you need to consider , just because everyone is selling it doesn’t mean you are going to succeed. In fact, your chances probably decrease because of how saturated the company is. A company that has over 1 million reps is going to be difficult to find customers that need to buy your product. Chances are, most of the people you approach are already buying products from someone else. The company may be making lots of money, but you probably wont.

The company is making tons of money off a million reps that are able to get one or two people to buy something. When you calculate the commission against the hours and energy involved, the rep has made less than minimum wage! A lot of the reps for these companies are purchasing products themselves in order to stay active or to move up the color grid. They are ” buying their way to the top”. This is the opposite of why you chose to be your own boss. You became your own boss and started your own business to make money not lose money. You started this journey to gain financial freedom and a better quality of life. Not to be a slave to someone and the worse part you have paid them to be their slave!

What to look for in a company is not how popular they are or how many reps they have. The company to chose it one that will take a little more work to get customers involved. They may be on a slow and steady rise but they will have a product you can’t live without. They will have a design that is set up to help you succeed. You will fall in love with being one of the only few people posting about your new business on social media. You will have fun coming up with successful idea’s to grow you business. You will have a solid up line and other successful individuals that will help you come up with ways to get your product on the market. They will drive you towards success.

A tool that a lot of direct sales reps need to use is social media. The three I use most are Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. I also use Pintrest.

My biggest suggestion is this, learn to be a problem solver. If you can offer a solution to a problem then you will make a lot of money, grow your team and find the freedom you have been working your behind off for! Be creative. You may be looking at your product and be thinking ” How does jewelry solve a problem?” Let me throw out some suggestions. Think about the price and your target market. Is it affordable? If yes start a blog about ” How to frost yourself with less than $20 “. If the Jewelry is on the higher end of your target market then start a blog on ” How to look classy while wearing your favorite jeans”. Have fun with it and write, post, write, post. Make sure you are posting everyday on at least three social media sites.

Don’t get trapped using the internet only! The internet is an amazing way to reach out to millions of people, however, it is extremely important to plan parties to make sure you are engaging in the personal one on one sales that will help your customer really feel connected to you. Build a personal relationship with your customers. Invite them to coffee, send them ” Thinking of you ” cards in the mail. Jot down important things to remember about your customer. When their birthday is. Make note of any special event or occasion they have coming up. Reach out to them before their important event and give a suggestion about how your product can help with their event. However you go about it, be sure they know how important they are to you.

I am so happy to share this information with you and I am excited to hear about your success! Please be sure to comment and let me know how your business is coming along. I am excited to get to know you and to hear about your success.

How to get rid of muffin top forever! — February 3, 2019

How to get rid of muffin top forever!

It’s an awkward topic but someones has to discuss it!

First let me tell you a little bit about me. I am 42 I have three daughters. I have been a mother for the last 24 years.

In this 24 years my body has fluctuated in size. I have ranged between a size 6 to a size 15. Depending on my health and current mental state.

I have done many , many different types of workouts. I have done Yoga, Pilates, Spin, Total body conditioning, Zumba and just plain ole cardio 20 min three times a week. I have been successful in losing pounds, and trimming down. I have been successful in dropping sizes and toning up. The one thing I have never been able to get rid of is my love handles and the ” baby pudgy belly ” or in other words, MY MUFFIN TOP!

I hate those three words more than I hate a lot of things. Mostly because I have spent so much time and energy trying to get rid of it! It always manages to stay. I shrink sizes, I put on my pants, and boom! We’ve made a muffin!

Muffins are delicious! Muffins are warm, sweet and filling. They smell like little balls of heaven baking in the oven. They do not belong at the top of my pants!

I don’t want to keep wearing control top underwear! I don’t know about you, but the last thing I feel is sexy when I am wearing something that looks like I stepped out of a 20’s magazine for under garments.

So here is the solution! This is the only solution I have found that works. As someone who has been at this for 24 years, I am someone you can trust on this!

It’s all in the size of the waist band and in the formula of the material in the pants you are wearing. Check this out! You will not believe how amazing this is!

Peter Nygard out of Canada has heard our cries for help! I think he must really love women and most of all love us mothers. He somehow knew that we have all been secretly despising shopping for pants . Especially when you are with your girlfriend whose body just snapped right back into form after she gave birth to 10 children. I love her, but I am envious. A lot of us are!

Peter is my knew hero! I am going to share Canada’s best kept secret, that has recently made it’s way to the US. It has only been in the last few years that women in the US have had access to this secret. In fact I was the first person in my state to find out about it. As tempted as I was to keep this secret to myself, I knew I needed to help women in my city, my state and across the nation.

I want you to say three words with me ” Nygard Style Direct” Now I want you to memorize these three words. Say them like a mantra on a day you feel frumpy and need a pick me up! Say them on a day you do not feel like eating air instead of food. Say them when you are wondering what to wear on your next vacation. Say them again and again because I promise, once you have these three words in your head, the anxiety’s of pant shopping will disappear forever. In fact, you will become excited when you think about these three words. You will be excited to shop again! You will no longer feel scared you aren’t going to look good because you will know you are going to look beautiful!

If you are ready to say goodbye to muffin top for good, and ready to discover this amazing secret, just follow the link below. I am exited to see you on the other side!
